Q: What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?

A: Semi-permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing. Your certified Permanent Makeup Artist will use a single needle device to deposit high quality ink on the skin’s epidermis layer. Deposited color will fade naturally over time, continuing to deliver a natural and subtle brow.

Q: What is the difference between microblading and ombré powder?

A: While both provide a semi-permanent brow, the differences lie in the application of the ink, who the ideal candidate is, and how long it lasts. Microblading is achieved by making small incisions in the skin then depositing the ink in the incisions. Ombré powder is less invasive in that there is no cutting of the skin. As such, ombré powder is less painful with little to no bleeding. The ideal candidate for microblading has dry to normal skin, but may not be the best option for those with oily skin. Clients with oily skin often experience fading and blurring of the strokes, and tend to require more frequent touch ups, resulting in more trauma to the skin. Ombré powder is a great option for all skin types. On average, microblading lasts 12 – 18 months, while ombré powder typically lasts 2 – 3 years.

Q: Are the existing brows shaved off before the procedure?

A: Minimal hair removal takes place, when needed, to ensure the brow line is neat in appearance.

Q: How long does the procedure take?

A: New ombré powder brows are scheduled in 3 hour increments. Touch-ups and color boosting are scheduled in 1.5 hour increments.

Q: How long is the healing process?

A: The healing process is 7 – 10 days.

Q: What does the healing process look like?
